Mechanical Engineer

My client, located in Eastern North Carolina, is a global leader in providing electrical components for the automotive industry. Due to growth and expansion, my client is in need of a Mechanical Engineer to join its team. The purpose of this position is to develop and install mechanical designs for new and existing equipment as well as provide daily customer support.

Requirements:

• 4 year College Degree in a related technical field
• Engineering skills including knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamic, fluids, solids, and pneumatics
• Knowledge of CAD systems and a strong mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
• 2+ years of SolidWorks experience
• Expert knowledge of robotics, fluid dispense and screw driving applications

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design production equipment, tooling and fixtures for new and existing products
• Recommend and develop improvements to existing equipment
• Coordinate with vendors for accurate part manufacturing and on time delivery
• Develop and install new manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment using standardized root cause analysis techniques
• Develop and deliver presentations, train other associates, provide direction to other associates, provide customer support
