Maintenance Technicians (Electrical and Mechanical)

   My client, located in Mocksville, North Carolina, is looking for Maintenance Technicians (Electrical and Mechanical) to join its team. These positions have openings on 2nd and 3rd shift.

2nd:  2pm – 10pm

3rd: 10pm – 6-am


  • Troubleshooting wires in cables and circuits
  • Replacing relay and contactors
  • Troubleshoot replace motors or drives
  • Troubleshoot production issues at the equipment
  • Read and interpret technical information such as Electrical prints/drawings, Manuals, specification sheets
  • Understand and utilize proper wiring and color schemes, understand correct wire size to circuit
  • Fully versed in the use of a Multi-Meter
  • Work with 480V AC motor/drive circuits, 24V DC and 110V AC control voltages
  • Ability to follow wire/cables from source to output thru junction boxes and terminal strips
  • Ability to wire/cable machinery
  • Ability to wire sensors and switches
  • Locate and understand information to specific input and output components
  • Troubleshoot Ladder logic/PLC control logic preferred. (Programming not required)
  • Understand Analog signals (0-10V, 0-20mA, 4-20mA) used in scales and transducers
  • Troubleshoot and repair standard production related equipment; Exhaust fans, Vacuum pumps,
  • Air Compressors and Dryers.
  • Care and cleaning of Electrical cabinets and components
  • Assist in Electrical spare parts inventory and ordering


Advanced knowledge and Skills

  • Communications troubleshooting, programming and repair; Ethernet, Profibus, Interbus
  • Electronic drive/inverter troubleshooting, programming/commissioning and replacement
  • Motor, servo and resolver troubleshooting, repair/replace
  • PLC troubleshooting, programming/commissioning and replacement (Siemens S7 and TIA)
  • HMI troubleshooting and programming (Wonderware, WinCC)
  • Computers, Servers and software
  • Integrate new technology in existing process
  • Develop Electrical/wiring schematics and drawings
  • Thermographic and ultrasonic analysis experience for predictive maintenance 


  • Repairing and replacing damaged hardware
  • Level and align mechanical equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatics, hydraulics and vacuum systems
  • Repair/replace belts, wheels, rollers, shafts and chains
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping and installation drawings, spec sheets and installation manuals. Torque specs
  • Understanding of type, pressure/temp ratings, connections/fasteners for pipes and hoses
  • Understanding of Mounting hardware; Nuts/Bolts, circular clips, dowels, and keys
  • Experience with hand tools; grinders, saws, wire wheels, sanders
  • Operate a drill press, hydraulic press, and gear extracting tools
  • Welding experience; Stick, Wire
  • Cutting with Acetylene Torch or Plasma
  • Fabricating experience; guards, mounts, brackets, jigs or specialty tools
  • Install/Remove rollers, rails, guide
  • Install and align pumps
  • Rebuild valves, pumps with repair kits
  • Replace hydraulic filters
  • PM work; greasing, lubricating, replacing
  • Rigging; install/remove large, bulky, heavy components
  • Assist in mechanical spare parts inventory and ordering


Advanced knowledge and Skills

  • In depth troubleshooting and repair of Hydraulic systems
  • Disassemble valves, pumps and identify faulty components.
  • Understand and repair high pressure bladder accumulators and charge (nitrogen)
  • Utilize precision measurement equipment calipers, micrometers, feeler/depth gauges
  • Troubleshoot and repair proportional hydraulics
  • Certified pressure welder or carries “R” stamp
