Key Account Manager
My client, located in Detroit, Michigan, is looking for a Key Account Manager to join its team. The Key Account Manager will be the lead responsible person for commercial and project development activities and project objectives, including commercial activity, quality, planning, and profitability. This person will be the main contact with the customer for levels including Purchasing, Quality, Program Management, and Engineering. Excellent benefits package included.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering or Business
- MBA or similar is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Automotive industry experience
- Experience working with OEM and Tier 1
- Experience in Account Management and Program Management in an automotive B2B environment
- Experience in B2B in industrial, multinational, and multicultural environments with large customers preferred
- Experience working with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Style areas.
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Sales background
Responsibilities:
- Main commercial contact with the customer.
- Ensure company’s position in customer’s bidding list.
- Capture and present from the assigned customers to the offer committee for discussion and approval of quotes.
- Prepare cost model and RFQ package with the support of the different regions that may affect the business.
- Review, update, and track all commercial information related to the customers from pricing, contracts, contacts, and LTA’s.
- Review customer contracts for accuracy.
- Lead communication within the team with the customer.
- Manage the commercial open issue list.
- Support the creation of a customer business plan to ensure company goals and objectives are met
