Director of Quality

This role oversees all Quality Assurance requirements and ensures the Quality Management System is implemented and maintained in compliance with ISO and IATF standards, as well as subsequent revisions. The position is integral to upholding exceptional quality standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in shade matching, dyestuff, textile operations, and customer relations.
• Proficiency with computers and statistical process control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.
• Outstanding organizational, supervisory, and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 17025 standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements.
• Address customer complaints and collaborate with the facility to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee plant audit processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
• Facilitate effective communication through regular quality meetings.
• Manage the corrective action process to resolve quality issues.
• Foster customer relationships through on-site visits and proactive engagement.
• Authorize the cessation of production to address quality-related concerns.
• Oversee and approve laboratory activities, including personnel decisions, purchases, testing requirements, and result validation.
• Maintain impartiality and safeguard against any undue external pressures affecting work quality.
• Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Protect customer confidentiality and proprietary rights.
• Uphold the integrity and operational competence of the Quality Assurance team and Physical Test Laboratory.
• Appoint deputies for key Quality Assurance managerial roles.
• Establish and facilitate effective communication processes regarding the management system’s performance.
• Role involves 10-20% Travel.
