Director of Manufacturing (Upholstery Operations)

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Manufacturing to lead an upholstered furniture manufacturing division. In this role, you will oversee the entire spectrum of production, planning, and safety measures for the product line.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in the upholstery manufacturing domain.
• A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in upholstery manufacturing.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams, including supervisors and production associates.
• Proficiency in all facets of upholstery manufacturing processes.
• Proven expertise in budgeting and profit and loss management.
• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical capabilities.
• Adeptness in fostering and driving positive change, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing resource allocation to align staffing and equipment readiness with business demands.
• Implementing strategies to enhance throughput and productivity, ensuring punctual deliveries.
• Effectively communicating and upholding safety and quality standards to guarantee consistent adherence.
• Monitoring inventory levels and supervising regular physical inventory counts.
• Keeping track of supplier raw material costs and expenditures for supplies.
• Enforcing adherence to Company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety.
• Providing coaching and development for team members, administering corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintaining transparent communication with facility management through regular meetings.
• Contributing to the budgeting process and diligently monitoring profit and loss statements.
• Efficiently managing capital expenditure projects to ensure timely completion.
