   My client, located in Bristol, VA, is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join its team. This position will manage Lean, continuous improvement activities to improve production efficiency, employee safety, and promote an organized and effective work environment. Excellent benefits package included.



  • Bachelor’s degree Preferred
  • Six Sigma Blackbelt required with 5 years minimum experience implementing Lean, cost saving projects, implementation of corrective actions solving problems, implementation of continuous improvement.
  • Adequate color vision
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instructions
  • Certified on Lean, Six Sigma. (Blackbelt preferred)
  • Be familiar with Standardization for QMS and EMS, EHS etc.
  • Ability in training and coaching skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Problem Solving Methods, Project Management Techniques.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify improvement areas with all operations related managers
  • Deliver organization’s lean training modules.
  • Coach manufacturing managers, support, and lead teams to apply lean principles
  • Develop lean expertise by supporting departments to apply and execute lean principles and tools (VSM, 5S, Standard Work or Standard Operational Procedure, Kanban, TPM)
  • Develop Kaizen events with departments to determine and eliminate waste.
  • Engage in establishing goals for lean execution and value stream improvement.
  • Identify quality issues and suggest correction forms through a root cause analysis
  • Conduct time studies by breaking job elements to document existing state.
  • Establish continuous improvement project plans, organize or plan to implement the related activities.
  • Prioritize safety and quality in executing assigned duties and communicating lean principles to employees.
  • Develop GAP Analysis to optimize process and reduce that GAP implementing projects
  • Participant the new expansion projects for operations, relocation from the first stage.
  • Involve the reengineering and optimization related to operations.
