  Our client, based in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving commercial growth, managing client relationships, and executing strategic action plans to achieve the company’s business objectives. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
  • Additional financial training or education preferred
  • Proven experience in B2B environments, particularly with large, industrial, multinational, and multicultural clients
  • Background in the automotive industry
  • Experience working with OEM and Tier 1 organizations
  • Familiarity with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Style departments
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Solid sales expertise

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote company products and innovations while achieving or surpassing gross margin objectives
  • Present proposals to the offer committee for review and discussion
  • Manage RFQs, LTAs, and other commercial negotiations with clients
  • Implement action plans aligned with the company’s strategic objectives
  • Maintain and update comprehensive client records
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts
  • Oversee the completion of the IPR process in coordination with relevant departments
  • Ensure all client-related data, including pricing, contracts, and reductions, is accurate and up to date
  • Collaborate with sales teams across other divisions or regions
  • Manage global relationships with assigned clients
  • Partner internally with teams in Projects, Product Engineering, Process and Innovation, Logistics, Quality, and Plant Management
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships with OEM and Tier 1 customers, engaging with departments such as Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Style
